Boston Passed Away
Sat 04 Feb 2012
On the 4th February 2012, the extremely promising young dressage stallion, Boston, passed away following an intestinal illness. After trying all available treatments, the sad decision was made to euthanize him at the Meerbusch Clinic for Horses.
Boston was a 6-year old British bred stallion by Jazz, and was presented to The British Warmblood Society grading in 2008 and became champion as judged by Dr Senkenburg. Boston was subsequently graded by the Sud Deutschland, Oldenburg and NRW Verbands.
The young stallion was initially based at Schwaiganger State Stud in Bavaria, but has for the last 2 years been training with Isabell Werth & Matthias Bouten.
Boston will leave over 300 foals that have been in exceptional demand amongst both riders and breeders. His owner Craig Macdonald, is hoping these foals will go on to realise the full potential of the young stallion in both breeding and competition.
Finally Craig would like to thank all of the people who have been a part of, and supported Boston’s career, Isabell Werth & team, Matthias Bouten, Dr Senkenburg and of course the breeders.
Isabell Werth and Matthias Bouten said, “Boston was not just a wonderful stallion but also a very special horse who had enormous presence and character. We miss him being with us.”

GF Deville is Elementary National Champion
Sun 18 Sep 2011
GF Deville wins the Stretch and Flex Elementary Open National Championship ridden by Daniel Greenwood.
Mr and Mrs Senior’s eye-catching chestnut stallion GF Deville (Dimaggio x Biotop) won the Stretch and Flex Elementary Open National Championship ridden by Gloucestershire’s Daniel Greenwood. They scored 70.81% to take the class just .25% ahead of second placed Lucy Farrer and Fuerst Ferdinand.
Daniel has high hopes for the stallion, “He has the right brain and the right attitude, now it’s about building his strength up for the higher-level movements. We’ve touched on piaffe and passage and he’s showing ability for it.”
When describing his British-bred champion who was the BWBS Stallion Licensing Champion in 2007; Daniel said, “You wouldn’t know he’s a stallion, he’s just a joy! There’s no side to him. He’s super sensitive, but in a good way. He always tries to help the rider, which is lovely and I feel like I can relax on him in the arena.”
Looking to the future, Daniel is preparing to compete GF Deville at medium and advanced medium level throughout the year.
